Nursery...Check!

Well the Nursery is FINALLY done! After all last weekend and then off and on through the week the nursery is finally painted and the shelves are hung. There is still a lot of little touches Kate is going to make, but the BIG stuff is all done! (Painting, Trimming, setting up shelves, curtain's, etc...)

The time is getting closer and closer. We are at 59 days and counting now... only 4 more weeks before she is full term. And 8 more weeks till we are 40 weeks :) Time is flying, and soon our little girl will be here :) It's hard to believe its almost been 9 months. It seems like just yesterday Kate was waking me up to tell me we were pregnant and going to have a baby. It's been hard at times, ESPECIALLY for poor Kate. She is a real trooper. I know she hurts and is uncomfortable, but she just push's through. Her excitement always shines through. 

We are getting ready, and the countdown is on! :)

Labor and Delivery Again....

Well today we had another false labor scare... Kate started having contractions all last night, and then during church we had to leave because they got so bad. We called the Midwife and they said to relax and drink lots of water (we are sitting here thinking duh...) so Kate just relaxed and I took care of her. They eased off but didn't stop. By 6:30pm we finally were told to go to Labor and Delivery... After an hour and the nurse getting personal with Kate they sent us home and said everything is fine and to rest. The amazing thing was that next to us a husband and wife around our age came in... She was due in two days, but was contracting and dialted 2 cm, they were getting ready to bring their little one into the world.

It made me think that our time for that moment was coming and will be here soon. Sooner than we realize. It's right around the corner and before we know it our little girl will be here. While I'm scared for Kate and that day and what she will have to go through, on the same thought I can't wait for that day. I am so excited to be in that moment knowing our little girl is on her way.

Down to Every Two Weeks

So we are at the point of visiting the Doctor every two weeks now. Time seemed to drag before, because of the distance between each Dr. Visit, but now... Every two weeks is making it feel even closer. Mom and Dad are starting to get things for the Nursery and its really coming along. Mommy’s Baby Shower is next Sunday and she is so excited. She can’t wait to see all her friends and celebrate me with them! I am 29 weeks and 3 days today. In less than 90 Days I will be here! :)

Seeing the Kicks

Well I have officially gotten big enough for Mom and Dad to see when I kick. When I start kicking Mom and dad watch Mom’s stomach closely and can now see a twitch. It almost looks like Mom’s stomach is spazzing, but its not. It’s me kicking away. I do it quite frequently now, more some at night than Mom would like, but she loves to feel me kick around. I am getting bigger and bigger. Grandpa couldn’t believe how big Mommy’s Belly had gotten in the week since we had seen them. I am 24 weeks now. 110 Days to go! :)

Trip to Labor and Delivery

Well tonight we got to take a trip to the Labor and Delivery area of the hospital. Mommy had been having contractions since Friday and they started to get closer and weren’t stopping. So Mom and Dad wanted to make sure everything was OK. After getting all hooked up to the monitors and sitting for hours, they decided that nothing was wrong and it was merely me giving Mom false labor pains. I am getting very strong and showed the Dr.’s that last night. Everything is great, and Mom and Dad were relieved to know. They were excited to be able to see the place were i will be born though, and look forward to coming back in Oct. to bring me into the world! I am 24 weeks today

I’m a GIRL!!!

Well today Mom and Dad found out I am a little Girl! We all went for my first sonogram and they FINALLY got to see me. Mom had been chomping at the bit to know. She was so excited! Dad was eagerly excited. He marched in there Video Camera in hand, ready to record every min. When the technician moved showed me to them on the screen for the first time, they both got all teary eyed. Dad had known from the day Mom showed him she was pregnant that I was a little girl, but Mom wasn’t sure. She was so excited to find out I am a little girl! Now the pink has REALLY started pouring into the house. It seems like EVERYONE is buying pink now. Luckily Dad has his own man room or else he would feel consumed (but i think he likes it really, he is excited that i’m gonna be Daddy’s little girl).  I am getting big and stronger by the day. I am 19 Weeks and 5 days today!

Daddy Felt the Bump

Well tonight was exciting! Daddy Finally Felt me... He doesn’t think Mommy is crazy anymore :-p. I was kicking around and moving a lot the other night, and Mommy grabbed his hand and pushed it hard where i was moving. After a few minutes on one my many kicks he felt a little thump. It was really light and quick, but he felt it! He knows I’m officially here and kicking around. He was so excited to feel me move... It’s the one thing that Mommy has not been able to share with him, and outside of my heartbeat he hasn’t really gotten to experience me. Well now He has! Both of them can’t wait till the 29th to find out if I’m a girl or boy. But they are very excited that i am healthy and kicking!
